OLD LTD delivers cardboard produced by company “UMKA” LTD.

“UMKA” LTD – Cardboard mill, produces chromed cardboard ("white-lined chipboard") of quality GD2 – Umka Color (230-250 g/m2), GD3 – Umka Pak (230-450 g/m2) and GT2 – Umka Special (280-500 g/m2). Production capacity after the reconstruction that was carried out after privatization is 105 000 tons per year.

It is also used for laminating in manufacturing of transportation packaging. Cardboard is produced and delivered in sheets or rolls, depending on the wishes of clients. Cardboard production is conducted on cardboard manufacturing machine that has a working width of 320 cm.

The surface of the cardboard sheet Umka Color has a three-layer coating, which ensures high print material properties. Optimal print quality indicators are achieved by offset and flexographic print method. Stable specifications of this type of cardboard allow using it in automatic packaging production lines.

Umka Color GD2 (white-gray cardboard) – quality chromed cardboard, produced out of recycled paper waste. Middle layer consists of mixed waste paper and top layer consists of sorted white waste paper. The board is triple coated on the top side and single coated on the back side, with good printing and converting characteristics and suitable for automated packaging lines.

Typical application

Cardboard packaging: food, confectionery, beauty and pharmacy, chemical, textile, spare parts industry.

Recommended printing methods

Offset, flexographic printing. The cardboard is ISEGA certified, which confirms that quality GD2 cardboard, produced by “UMKA” LTD – Cardboard mill, is suitable for use in food manufacturing. Standard deliveries in sheets and rolls, on wooden pallets with thermal shrinking foil.
